The Pigeons
(September 23, 2010)

Come and gone Come and gone
Sun has risen Rain has fallen
Burns on my back Scorchings of the ages
Scars of summers come Forgings of winters gone
My skin glistening Marble reflecting this daylight
They come and go Come and go
These pigeons they land and Fly they fly away
Here today Gone tomorrow
And I will always Always I will be here
Bearing summer Braving winters
Constant Constant Constant Constant
Constant Constant Constant Constant
I am a pledge A carving in stone
The statue The statue of marble
Wars have begun Wars have ended
Old blood once spilled New life now born
The sky it is running Fast across above me
Gray and white White and gray
The bells are ringing The sky is racing
And I watch And I see
And I wait And I love
The sky it moves My breath breathed into me
They always come Come and go
It is always come Come and gone
And I am here I am still here
If you stop If you stop to look at me
Then you might You might then see me
And stay with me Stay and not fly away...
The pigeons they always The pigeons are always landing
They land and fly They land then fly away

Walk On This Water
September 19, 2010

To strike this strong current with my oar
Is the only thought I hold in sight

To rage against the falling of this flow
Is the only force that hands this oar

Rage rage Strike and rage
South it falls and North I follow

How long must I rage
How far must I strike

This river forces downwards
But I fight on upwards

My strength; it is aching
I will throw my oar away; and instead

I will walk
On this water

Hell

Hell
September 14, 2010

They said to me “speak”
When I spoke they struck my face

They said “show us your hand”
And my hand they then cut off

They said to me “stand up”
And then they cut me down

And so it ends I am in hell
Because I followed all they said

Save Me
September 14, 2010

The black flies fall like
Black sesame seeds
Through a funnel
Through the funnel of time
The black pestilence falls
Stripped
I have lost the plagues
I once identified
But alas!
They fall
Only to rise up again
Like a black ghost
A black ghost built from
A million pieces
It rises again and
Falls again
Only to rise again!

Chaos

This is the true hell
The hell like
I have never seen one
Before; hide me away

Hide me away in the
Windows of my port
Where the stones meet the
Sea and the seagulls fly

Hide me away between
The door and the iron gate
Where the windows see the
Water and the seagulls fly

This pestilence
It haunts me

This blackness
It falls and rises

Confusion

Into the rocks the steps the cliffs
Rising from the sea; the Ligurian
Back to the eternal waters blue and green
Where rock is swallowed by sea

And I will sit in my window
Again; and they cannot find me

Hide me

Where they cannot touch me
I want no part in this

Take me home

Save me

Certain Innocence

Certain Innocence
(September 6, 2010)

I don’t despise atheists. In fact, there is something wonderful about the soul of the atheist. The atheist possesses an inner awareness of the majesty and glory and true power of God. And he simply does not see this in the God prepared by organized religion in churches and fed to people in churches and in religion classes in school and in Sunday School. He cannot reconcile his inner awareness of who God is, with the God as wrapped up and prepared and presented by organized religion. There is a disparity. A separation. And because of this he tells himself that he does not believe in God and therefore categorizes himself into an atheist or one who does not believe in God.

But to you I say– what makes you think that God wants to be watered down and prepared and cut up and molded and tied down and shaped and washed and then served in a church? What makes you think that the God they speak of is what God really is? Do not think that God is happy to be taken and defined and used as a tool to control people and earn money.

The atheist thinks he does not believe in God. But I don’t believe in the God that he doesn’t believe in, either. I believe in the God that he will accept no other versions of.

The atheist is not evil. The atheist possesses the innocence of a child who has been separated from his true father and will accept no other replacements for. He walks around refusing to be fostered by any replacements. He only needs to know that his real Father is there. Yes, there is a certain rebellion. But this is the rebellion of love.

To Be Beautiful

To Be Beautiful
(July 26, 2010)

If you want to glow with beauty; make sure that everything you do is done from the heart. If you want to have gorgeous eyes; when you look at others look into their souls, past everything else and look straight into their souls. If you want to be unforgettable; always remember others. Remember others for who they are and never forget their importance, even down to the smallest importance.

If you want grace and class; be sure to always own the inner desire to touch people in such a way that they may meet the angels and Heaven in your embrace.

If you want to be famous; always walk with the knowledge that people may very well be far more wonderful than you think they are.

Forget about being a sudden spark and a floating, flickering flame that is easily blown away. Instead, desire to be imprinted upon every soul that you meet, and to leave your imprints upon every beautiful patch of air that you breathe.

If you want to be loved and cherished, desire to love and desire to cherish and desire these with a burning passion.

This is how to be beautiful.
